Who should not take PEPCID^® products?
Most people can take PEPCID^® products without a problem. However, we recommend that you talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using PEPCID^® products if:

•  You are allergic to any of the ingredients in PEPCID^® or have had an allergic reaction to another product that contains an acid reducer.
•  You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
•  You have difficulty swallowing, or persistent stomach pain.
•  You have severe kidney disease or any other severe illnesses.
•  You are over 40 and you are experiencing new or recently changed symptoms of acid indigestion or heartburn.
•  You are taking any prescription or over-the-counter medications, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), because these medicines may be causing your symptoms.
•  You have a previous history of ulcer disease complications.
•  You are experiencing unintended weight loss in association with your symptoms of acid indigestion or heartburn.
